Minor Surgery 001

As mentioned previously I had planned to make Surgery 100 an all exclusive content podcast. Circumstances through August and September conspired to make this too much of a juggling act to see through to the end. However I did get a handful of wonderful pieces from some of my favourite artists... so rather than just drop them into an hour mix on Surgery 101 I thought I'd take this opportunity to launch a new feature called Minor Surgery. Minor Surgeries will be shorter episodes that concentrate on either special themes, single artists and, as in this case, unreleased content provided especially for Surgery Radio. For this first episode Ezekiel Honig + Mark Templeton contributed the track "Reginald Cousins" from their yet unreleased collaborative project. Lexithimie's Alexis Béchu provides "Alpinium," a piece from the recent Resting Bell netlabel release Leontopodium. Bartosz Dziadosz dug into the Pleq database for the unreleased track "Dark Bullet from the Abyss." And finally Zelienople polished up a new unreleased track called "Smoked" while Honey Owens, formerly of Valet, gave us a sneak peek at her new The Miracles Club project with a piece called "Downtown."
